Frequently asked questions

Teamark / The Efficient Employer

What makes Teamark unique?

Most employee management software helps you schedule staff, process payroll, or record performance reviews. Teamark helps you understand how your team is actually functioning.

As you carry out your regular one-on-one staff catch-ups, Teamark turns those conversations into a growing picture of your team. Over time, it reveals who is ready for more responsibility, who is developing well, and who may be quietly working against the standards you're trying to build.

Individual responses are always kept private. Only combined scores are shown.

Why should a person choose Teamark over its competitors?

Most management decisions are based on what the owner or manager personally sees. Teamark adds another perspective by capturing the day-to-day experience of the people who work together every shift.

Rather than replacing your existing management process, Teamark strengthens it. Every one-on-one discussion adds to your understanding of the whole team, helping you make more confident decisions about promotions, coaching, training, and team development.

How would you describe the primary audience of Teamark?

Teamark is built for small business owners and managers who lead hands-on teams.

It's especially suited to hospitality, retail, and other service businesses where employees work closely together and workplace culture has a direct impact on customer experience.

If you regularly hold one-on-one catch-ups with your staff, Teamark gives those conversations a practical purpose by helping you build a clearer picture of your entire team over time.

What's the story behind Teamark?

After years of managing hospitality teams, one thing became obvious: managers don't see everything.

Employees spend far more time working with each other than they do with the manager. They see who willingly helps others, who follows systems, who cuts corners, and who quietly influences the rest of the team.

Teamark was created to capture those everyday observations in a structured way. Instead of relying on guesswork or isolated impressions, each one-on-one conversation contributes to a clearer understanding of the team, making it easier to identify future leaders, support developing employees, and protect the workplace culture you've worked hard to build.

What are the four quadrants?

Teamark plots each team member on two axes. Capability is whether someone can do the job. Commitment is whether they want to. That produces four zones:

Do employees see each other's answers?

No. Individual responses are never displayed anywhere in Teamark. Only combined scores are shown.

Feedback is collected by the manager during one-on-one catch-ups. Employees do not see the matrix or anyone else's answers.

How much does Teamark cost?

Teamark is free to use, with unlimited teams, members, questions and sessions, including the current matrix and current scores.

Teamark Pro adds full session history, animated playback, movement trails, trend analysis and exports, for $9 AUD per month or $90 per year. Pricing is per account, not per employee, so adding staff never costs more. Full detail is on the pricing page.

Can Teamark be used to fire someone?

No. Teamark is a discussion aid, not grounds for employment decisions.

It records subjective peer sentiment, presented as combined scores and trends. It is one input among many and is not a substitute for a lawful and fair employment process. Follow your local fair-work process before taking any action that affects a person's employment. The Terms of Service covers this in full.

Try it before you decide. Teamark includes a sample team with ten sessions of history, so you can explore the matrix and the animation without entering any real data about your staff.
